I started my career in higher education working in Scholarships and Financial Aid. I received my MBA in Innovative Practices and Entrepreneurial Thinking in 2019. For the last 2 1/2 years, I have worked with Indie Publishing Experts to teach people how to become self-publishers. We teach them essential self-publishing skills, including profitability research, keyword research, outlining, hiring freelancers for ghostwriting, editing, etc. I became the project manager for this program, helping our clients through the step-by-step process and managing the freelancers for their first book.
I have also been professionally formatting for the last 3 years utilizing Vellum, Atticus and Adobe Indesign per the project's and client's needs. I format fiction, non-fiction, children's books, workbooks and lead magnets.
I will be publishing my first book later this month. The ability to step out of the extremely procedural world of Scholarships and Financial Aid and move to the creative world of publishing has been a fantastic experience. I love helping others find the same joy as they begin and continue their publishing journeys.
